Talas region is a remoted area in north-west part of Kyrgyzstan. Easy accessible from Bishkek through Kazakhstan via Taraz city, a bit harder on the M41 (Bishkek-Osh highway) then through the Ötmök pass (3326m).

This region is located in the north-western Kyrgyzstan. Talas region occupies the territory of Talas valley and the part of the ridge Kyrgyz Ala-Too.
